Aging is associated with physical decline that leads to weakness and even disabilities. Elder people and senior citizens often suffer from sarcopenia and dynapenia. Sarcopenia is defined as loss of muscle tissue as a natural part of the aging process. This does not include loss of muscle strength, which is defined by Dynapenia. As per research, muscle strength appears to be a critical component in maintaining physical function, mobility, and vitality in old age.

For elder people and senior citizens, lack of physical activity and sedentary lifestyle are extremely dangerous because that increases their risk of serious health conditions such as blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, obesity, cholesterol issues, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, depression, cancer and death from any cause.
